Taking to his twitter account, Citi FM journalist Kojo Akoto Boateng also said Dr Adutwum deserves the appointment because he has been endowed with requisite knowledge to run the affairs of the Ministry.
"The Dr @yoadutwum nomination makes me super happy. I think he's a great guy. Listened to him, read his stuff, moderated @WorldBank events where he showed deep knowledge, experience, & a lot of common sense.
"I pray he succeeds. This is another from Kumasi High School to the world!" he said.

This comes after President Akufo-Addo submitted to Parliament for the approval a list of names for appointment as Ministers in his new government.
The appointment has seen new faces including MP for Ahanta West, Kojo Kum who has been posted to the Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Ministry, and the MP for Damongo, Samuel Abdulai Jinapor who has been appointed to head the Lands and Natural Resources Ministry.
Some appointees who served as deputy ministers in Akufo-Addo’s first term have also had their portfolios elevated into substantive ministers of their respective ministries.
This includes Dr Yaw Adutwum who will succeed Dr Matthew Opoku-Prempeh as Education Minister if Parliament vets him and approves his appointment.
Reacting to the appointment, IMANI Africa seems very impressed with it.
Executive Director of Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA), Mensah Thompson is also hopeful that Dr Adutwum will deliver up to task since he is highly learned, widely read, knowledgeable, and abundantly well-resourced with the requisite training, practice, and skill set.
Media personalities including Serwaa Amihere and Saddick Adams also reacted to it.
