The Minister-designate for Local Government, Decentralisation & Rural Development, Dan Botwe and Communications and Digitisation Minister-designate Ursula Owusu-Ekuful will on Monday face Parliament's Appointments Committee.
This marks Day 4 of the ministerial vetting by the Committee chaired by First Deputy Speaker Joseph Osei Owusu.
Today's vetting process is scheduled to commence at 10 at Parliament.
Mr Dan Botwe should he pass the vetting process will take over from former Local Government Minister, Alima Mahama to aid in the country's governance of President Akufo-Addo's second term in office.
Meanwhile, the ministerial appointment of Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful as Minister for Communications and Digitisation has received heavy criticisms from social media users.
According to some social media users, the actions of the Ablekuma West MP during the inauguration of the 8th Parliament were not commendable hence should not be appointed.
Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful would be retained as the Communications Minister should she pass the vetting process.
So far, eight ministerial appointees have faced the Appointments Committee to discuss the objectives of their respective ministries should they be given the nod.
The list of vetted ministerial nominees includes Minister-designate for Health Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, National Security Minister-designate Albert Kan Dapaah, Minister-designate for Defence, Dominic Nitiwul, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, Minister-designate for Education.
Minister-designate for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Atorney General and Minister-designate for Justice, Godfred Dame, Minister-designate for Energy, Matthew Opoku Prempeh and Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Minister-designate for Foreign Affairs.
The vetting process by the Appointments Committee is scheduled to end on March 9, 2021.
