The second Adidas x Wales Bonner collection was first shown in September and will be available to buy from the end of March.
Over the past 12 months, every brand worth its cloth has dropped a collaborative collection of some kind.
Whether that's Louis Vuitton with Nigo, Nike with Kim Jones or even Crocs and Justin Bieber. And while we're all for a fashion hook-up here at GQ, some stand out to us more than others.
One of those we're most grateful for is the ongoing partnership between German ĂĽber-brand Adidas and London-based-talent Grace Wales Bonner.
Since late 2019 the pair have worked together to take Adidas' iconic pieces and elevate them using extraordinary embroidery, premium fabrics and cutting techniques you'd typically find on Savile Row.
Thus far, the duo have released one line, which was first shown as part of Bonner's Autumn/Winter 2020 offering, and teased two more.

Now we're about to get our next dose of the good stuff. Having already been previewed (digitally) during Men’s Paris Fashion Week in September 2020, the collection sits in line with Bonner's Spring/Summer 2021 Collection “Essence”.
This itself explores the early 1980s origination of dancehall music in Jamaica through Bonner's own hybrid sports tailoring enhanced with striped satin, silks and corduroy.
In keeping with the collection, the SS21 Adidas x Wales Bonner capsule consists of reimagined, slim-fitting, tailored Three Stripe tracksuits in the German brand's signature scarlet and an all-over navy check, 1980s-influenced football jerseys with additional ribbing and blush pink mesh panelling, and natty short shorts you'd expect to find on the pitch.
In essence, the sort of stuff you'd likely have seen the late footy greats Pelé and Diego Maradona wearing in their respective heydays.

Sitting alongside those pieces are Bonner's take on classic Adidas sneaker silhouettes.
This season the pair have introduced a new take on the 1980s basketball-inspired Nizza, which now comes in black, purple or white, as well as the Frank Ocean-approved Samba, which has been given a black leather reimagining.
Each pair of kicks comes with contrasting laces and Three Stripe branding, as we have previously seen with Bonner's Adi footwear.
