The Agona Duakwa police of the Central Region have arrested a woman, Mary Quaye, alias Obaa Yaa for inflicting cutlass wounds on her husband’s neck.
According to the police statement, the suspect and her husband, Abraham Acquah engaged in a fight about 1 am on Monday which led to the victim hitting his wife with a piece of wood.
So in retaliation, Obaa Yaa took a cutlass close by and cut her husband on the neck.

The police indicated that 30-year-old Acquah was sent to the Agona Swedru Government Hospital after sustaining multiple deep cut on his left jaw, neck and shoulder and is responding to treatment.
“Police medical report form was issued to the victim for endorsement by the medical doctor,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, Obaa Yaa who lodged a complaint at the Police station for assault was subsequently arrested, detained and assisting police with investigations.
