Fetish priestess-turned evangelist, Nana Agradaa bade farewell to the traditional religion by setting her deities on fire on Thursday afternoon.
This, she says, is to assure Ghanaians on her decision to become a Christian, denouncing her faith as a fetish priestess.
During an earlier meeting with the press, Nana Agradaa born Patience Asiedua after making bail pledged to obliterate any connection she has with idolatry to take up her new role as an evangelist.
She also noted that the name bestowed on her is Evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng.
“I will no longer work as a fetish priestess. I no longer want to even hear the name Nana Agradaa…What the good Lord has done for me, the calling I have received and his salvation.
“When I went to church on Sunday, my pastor told me that the name the Lord has bestowed on me is evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng,” she said.
In fulfilling her promise to Ghanaians, together with her pastor and some residents, evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng gathered her deities at her Sowutuom residence and set them ablaze.
Participants, clad mainly in white apparel, cheered and clapped amid the shouting of “Amen” as they burnt the idols to ashes.
