The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has terminated the contract of the National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP), Gertrude Quashigah.
A letter dated May 18, 2021, signed by Minister Sarah Adwoa Safo, stated that Mrs Quashigah should leave office effective immediately.
The letter directed her to handover any official document in her custody to the Chief Director of the Ministry.
"You will be paid one month's salary in lieu of notice as stipulated in your contract agreement.

"We appreciate your support towards the execution of the mandate of the Ghana School Feeding Programme during the period."
The Ministry did not give reason for the termination.
Mrs Gertrude Quashigah, was officially named National Coordinator of the Programme in March 2020 after taking over from Dr Kwame Adu-Nsiah who was relieved of his duties after being exonerated from allegations of malpractices and other related matters levelled against him by then Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Mrs Cynthia Morrison.
She was already serving as an acting coordinator for about year before she was given the role officially.
