The last words of people moments before they die can sometimes become an awakening for those left behind.
The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) earlier today announced the death of its founder, Temitope Balogun Joshua.
According to the Church, just some few hours before T. B. Joshua departed, he said to his people at a meeting that they should “watch and pray”.
The meeting was with Emmanuel TV themed “Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service.”
The phrase “watch and pray” occurs only three times in the New Testament, and in all circumstances, Jesus Christ was charging his disciples to remain “spiritually vigilant” for the purpose of not falling into sin.
Thus, it is believed that the famous Nigerian Pastor was urging his ‘flock’ to be “on the alert” in times of crisis in order not to miss the kingdom of God.
SCOAN, in the early hours of Sunday, announced the passing of Pastor Joshua in a statement on Facebook just six days to the birthday of the pastor born in 1963.

According to the SCOAN, “On Saturday 5th June 2021, Prophet TB Joshua spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: “Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service.”
It regrettably announced that “God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for.
Meanwhile, some social media users and his church members who have been thrown into a state of shock following the news of his death cannot seem to forget his last words. Whilst others bid him farewell, some have pledged to abide by the teacher’s last words to be watchful.
