Leading non-alcoholic malt beverage brand, Malta Guinness, has provided support to some 20 local startups.
This is part of the brand’s ongoing “Enjoy a World of Good” campaign, which seeks to create a society where Ghanaians #Rekognize and support each other’s hustles.
The brand accomplished this by leveraging its relationship with selected social media influencers who used their clout to identify these startups. The businesses selected range from the beauty, personal care, fashion, food and beverages, as well as retail to technology sectors.
The initiative dubbed “Spread Good”, saw Malta Guinness influencers Delores “Delay” Frimpong-Manso, Giovani Caleb, Regina Van-Helvert, Musicians Worlasi, Mr. Drew and others use their respective social media handles to select and give free publicity to two businesses each over a one-week period.
Businesses that benefitted from the campaign include Ryndel Perfumer Ghana, Morakiss Beauty Salon and Spa, Fruits and More Gift Hampers, Maame’s Pancakes, Hans Kitchen, GoldenDev Officials, Serwaa Bakes, Rajni Millinery among others.
Owner of Ryndel Perfumer Ghana, Theresa Donkor, expressed her delight at having a notable personality such as Delores “Delay” Frimpong-Manso showcase her business. She called on more brands to support small businesses, stating, “It’s not easy out here and so any form of support from brands like Malta Guinness to help us small businesses is very welcome”.
The Spread Good initiative is estimated to have reached over a million fans on social media and given a 30% visibility boost to these small businesses online. Malta Guinness is excited to have grown brand engagement among consumers through its influencers.
