After suffering a disappointing 1-0 defeat at the hands of England, Croatia enter the next round of fixtures with the aim of making amends as they prepare to face Czech Republic.
The game was a tight one but the poor finishing of Zlatko Dalic’s side proved to be the decider. Czech Republic had a better start to the game, clinching a 2-0 victory over Scotland on matchday one.
A double from Patrick Schick was enough to breeze past the Tartan Army with hope of doing it again on Friday.
A draw expected
The two teams have quality in key areas of the pitch and could cancel each other out in this game. Luka Modric and Mateo Kovacic will no doubt lead the creative charge with Rebic and Perisic expected to finish chances.
Patrick Schick showed enormous quality in the first game, scoring a wonder goal from the center circle. He will once again be in the spotlight.
The two teams have the tools to thwart dangers and that could be the case.
The odds
Croatia are slight favorites to win this tie, with their odds priced at 2.13 by Betway. Czech Republic have 3.44 odds to take all three points. A draw has been pinned at 3.33.
The game could be a scoring draw. Going for over 1.5 (1.37) odds will suit investors.
