After drawing 1-1 with Czech Republic, Croatia enter matchday three with their chances of making the round of 16 hanging by a thread. They need nothing less than a victory.
Scotland, in comparison, also go into the tie with their hopes of reaching the knockout stages under huge threat. In the previous game, they managed to force a goalless draw out of arch rivals England.
On Tuesday, a dogfight is expected as both teams would need positive results to advance.
Croatia set to win first game
Croatia have not had much luck in the competition thus far, losing one and winning one. However, this is set to end with qualification to the round of 16 on the line.
Zlatko Dalic’s side have the likes of Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic and Ivan Perisic among others to rely on. Those players are expected to step it up under this kind of pressure.
Scotland played valiantly against England in the previous fixture but this could be the end of the line for them.
The odds
Croatia are favorites to win this game with their odds priced at 2.19 by Betway. Scotland, in comparison, have their odds pinned at 3.13. A draw has been priced at 3.51.
