According to the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Finance Committee, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, “the Ghanaian economy has been driven into a ditch and will require an urgent fiscal measure to pull out from the ditch.”
He added that failure of government to take steps in lessening the debt burden, will make Ghana unattractive to the bonds market and the domestic market among others.
Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, also believes that debt relief and debt forgiveness is President Akufo-Addo’s only hope to redeem and salvage Ghana’s economy.
Joy News' Ayisha Ibrahim tonight, hosts former Deputy Information Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Associate Professor of Economics and Dean of International Programmes, University of Ghana, Prof Eric Osei- Assibey, Deputy Finance Minister, John Ampontuah Kumah to probe into Minority’s doom prediction at 9.00 pm.
