Access to the boundary road, from the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange is expected to be closed to the general public from midnight of Friday, October 15 to midnight of Sunday, October 17.
A notice from the Ministry of Roads and Highways, dated October 12, 2021, announced that the interruptions to traffic flow is to aid in repair works on sections of the road.
On that score, motorists have been advised to follow the traffic diversion signs that will be placed at the various sections of the road during the period.
“There will be an interruption to traffic flow within Shiashie and its environs from midnight of Friday, 15th through to midnight of Sunday, 17th October 2021, to enable the contractor to undertake repair works [on parts of the road],” The Ministry, acting through the Department of Urban Roads, noted.

The Ministry apologised for the inconvenience the exercise may cause even as it "strive(s) to eliminate the bottlenecks in our traffic stream."
