Management of LEDing Medical Laboratory has announced that it will bear the cost of the re-testing to be done by clients who were unable to receive their PCR tests between December 19 to 23.
In a press statement, management explained that although its trusted testing regime has always shown a results pattern that is consistent with Ghana's Covid-19 outlook, "PCR test results obtained from our outfit in the past few days, appeared to have deviated significantly from this pattern of outlook compliant results."
It, therefore, became necessary for its bio-medical team to reassess the setup to confirm set operational standards.
"Upon conclusion of these processes, and having confirmed that our testing regime was robust and responsive to the expected performance standards, the decision was made by management to re-test all clients whose samples were involved in the previous unconventional test results trend as initially referenced above," the statement added.
According to management, it deeply regrets the inconvenience its clients would have to suffer in order to test again; for that reason, "management has decided to absorb the cost of re-testing."
It further added that its decision also stems from the strict corporate standards of LEDing Medical Laboratory and "the high integrity standards by which we operate".
This, it said is an act geared towards providing quality service with reliable results.
Meanwhile, the management of LEDing Medical Lab says its laboratory services remain available to the public.
Below is the statement issued by LEDing Medical Lab:
PRESS RELEASE ON WITHHELD PCR TEST RESULTS
LEDing Medical Lab wishes to inform the general public that our laboratory services are available despite the unavailability of results of some PCR tests done from 19th to 23rd December, 2021. We wish to state that our trusted testing regime has always shown a results pattern that is consistent with Ghana's COVID-19 outlook. However, PCR test results obtained from our outfit in the past few days, appeared to have deviated significantly from this pattern of outlook compliant results.
It therefore became necessary for our bio-medical team to reassess our set up to confirm set operational standards. During this process, we also took advantage of the period to simultaneously undertake scheduled maintenance. Upon conclusion of these processes, and having confirmed that our testing regime was robust and responsive to the expected performance standards, the decision was made by management to re-test all clients whose samples were involved in the previous unconventional test results trend as initially referenced above.
The inconvenience suffered by our clients in having to test again for COVID-19 is deeply regretted, and it is for this reason that management has decided to absorb the cost of re-testing. However, we wish to inform our cherished clients and the general public that it is the strict corporate standards of LEDing Medical Laboratory and the high integrity standards by which we operate that necessitated this decision to re-test all clients whose results needed review, an act geared towards providing quality service with reliable results.
We look forward to continuing to serve you with our tried and tested quality laboratory expertise that has positively contributed towards Ghana's overall management of the COVID-19 disease.
LEDing Medical Laboratory still remains your reliable partner in staying safe in this era of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thank you for the cooperation.
