World title hopeful, Joshua Wahab, has retained his WBO Africa Junior Lightweight title after defeating Tanzania's Jackson Malinyingi in a knockout on Christmas Day.
Wahab made his intentions known right from the start, as he had the authority over the Tanzania boxer in every aspect of the bout, which took place in Accra.
The fight was then stopped in the seventh round when the Ghanaian managed to knock out his counterpart and walk away with the victory.
Wahab after beating the Tanzanian said he was happy to have defended his title and has set his sights on a world title shot.
"I am very happy with the win. I didn't disappoint my fans. My dream of winning a world title is still on course", he told Joy Sports in a post-fight interview.
"The Brawl in Accra" was put together by Ace Power Promotions in collaboration with Dibella Entertainment and Streetwise Management.
