MP for Damongo, Samuel Abu Jinapor, has commissioned a newly constructed market for the people of Damango-Canteen electoral area.
This is part of efforts to improve the livelihoods of his constituents, as well as boost trade in his constituency.
Briefing the media on the project, the MP who doubles as the Lands and Natural Resources Minister hinted of more projects in the pipeline.
Among these is an ultra modern community library that will be furnished with quality books and also serve as a study hub for children in the constituency.
In addition to this, the MP pledged to complete outstanding road projects in the community.
He further mentioned that the construction of a modern astro turf for the Canteen electoral area will also commence in the coming months.
Mr Jinapor disclosed to the people of the area that the electrification project going on at Kotito No 1, 2 and 3 are near completion and will be commissioned in the months ahead.

He cited Covid-19 as the cause of the delays with most of the projects, especially the Damango water project, which he said was dear to his heart.
Nonetheless, he said this project will also commence very soon.
On his part, Mr Diwura who is an elder in the community thanked Mr Jinapor for his good intentions for the people.
In a short speech, he said the particular area where the market has been constructed has been earmarked since 1965 for the construction of a market with governments and MPs coming and promising but failing to execute the project.
He, thus, praised the Damongo MP for fulfilling his promise to the people of the area.
