A certified Human Resource Business Partner at Talent Human Capital has bemoaned the need for the youth to turn their attention towards emerging job opportunities on the global market.
This is due to the issues of growing unemployment in the country.
Speaking at the Kumasi Digital Jobs Fair, Emmanuel Agyapong says emerging opportunities are driven by technology, hence, the need for improved education for such opportunities.
"Emerging jobs is about technology, every job needs technology to scale up. The key driver for the jobs are Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and machine learning", he added.

It is estimated 133 million jobs will be created by 2030, with 75 million jobs being lost to technology.
Unemployment remains a major challenge in Ghana, despite efforts by government to deal with the challenge.
The Digital Jobs Fair organised by Kumasi Hive with support from Master Card Foundation was under the theme, "Catalyzing job creation through mobile app development".

The event brought together young people of diverse backgrounds to learn about emerging job opportunities and how to apply for them.
Players in various industries pitched camps to interact with participants at the event.

Project Lead at Kumasi Hive, Priscilla Serwaa Gyasi believes the fair creates the needed opportunities for the youth.
"In tackling unemployment, programs like this is needed to open new opportunities and areas to job seekers especially in the space of technology", she said.
