The song is the young alté and afro-fusion artiste’s recently released, ‘Drunk In Love’.
Purple Heart is a soft-toned AfroPop song that admits how love in this day and age requires courage and valor.
The love landscape is a turbulent one and Freddie Gambini explores how those who traverse this course regardless deserve a reward for their bravery.
It takes inspiration from the U.S. Military award of the same name as well as what a bruised heart could look like after striving to stay loyal and true.

The song features fellow Ghanaian singer Notse, who along with Freddie tell how far they are willing to go for women who have shown this courage in loving them, knowing how rare that can be these days.
The production was executed by is Produ B and is currently out on all digital streaming platforms.
