Ghanaian music producer, Wei Ye Oteng says he can do better than any music engineer in Nigeria.
In an interview with Andy Dosty, on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz 103.9 FM, the experienced sound engineer bemoaned the rate at which some Ghanaian music producers have lowered the standards of their productions, claiming Nigerians are doing better on a larger scale.
In a post on Facebook, Wei Ye Oteng said that "Our standards in sound have drop and we need to wake up and stop living in past glory Software are good and less expensive, but every pro in sound will tell you that the output from gear and boards out shines that's of inbox only type of output.”

Asked if he feels Nigerians productions are doing better than his, the CEO of Drum Lyne Entertainment stated that he and some of his colleagues can match any sound engineer in Nigeria.
“I can match any sound engineer in Nigeria boot for boot. Someone like Kaywa can match any sound engineer in Nigeria boot for boot. U-Beats can match any sound engineer in Nigeria boot for boot. Appietus can match any sound engineer in Nigeria boot for boot. They are not doing better than me but they are doing better than a lot of people.”
Ghana and Nigeria have both played their role in putting Africa on the world stage with the Highlife and Afrobeats genre.
The friendly banter between who does better music has been a one that is yet to be settled.
It however seems Nigerians have done well with marketing their music as well as their industry to the world of which many attribute their population to this success.
