A Catholic Priest with the All Saints Catholic Church in Kumasi, Rev Father Louis Adu-Poku, is admonishing the Ghanaian Christian fraternity to be steadfast in their religious pursuit.
The Italian-based priest believes the inevitable challenges thrown at the followers of Christ are for spiritual fortification.
Rev. Father Adu-Poku said mankind had been confronted with varied setbacks in recent times, thrusting many people into despair and uncertainty about the future.
“Whatever difficulty comes on our way in the course of our lives such as the COVID-19 pandemic is for a purpose.
“By reading our lifestyle and the things we are passionate about, the devil then plans ways and means to entice us to deviate from the devotion we have for God or to stop us from doing what pleases God”, he said.
He acknowledged the wanton destruction of biodiversity and ecology, legalization of same-sex marriage, poverty, climate change and other development challenges could be overcome.
“The only solution to overcoming temptations in all forms was for Christians to build faith in Christ Jesus as he supplies grace to help us overcome same”.

He made these admonitions at the launch of his book titled, ‘Leaving or Living Temptation’.
The 274-page book spells out some spiritual means of subduing the temptation.
The book exposes readers to some exemplary Christian stories and to exude confidence in any strife that befalls them.
The book was dedicated posthumously to Vincent Kontoh, a friend of the catholic priest.
