The Education Minister has asked God to grant the wishes of Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum said God will not forget the Vice President for his good heart.
He said the prayer when he spoke at the sod-cutting ceremony for phase II of the State-of-the-Art Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Centres at Abrankese in Greater Kumasi in the Ashanti Region on Monday, June 6.

The Bosomtwe lawmaker said, “Bosomtwe will never forget Nana Akufo-Addo, Bosomtwe will always remember the Vice President of the Republic, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.”
He thus said the Vice President’s vision for Ghana will come to pass.
“We will always support and pray for Dr. Bawumia to ensure his dreams and aspirations are achieved. We don’t know what his dreams are for now, but anything he desires, we pray to God to help him fulfill it.
“So Vice President, when you pray, whatever you want from God, God will talk to Bosomtwe, and Bosomtwe will respond to the call of God, and your vision will come to pass. We just don’t know what you are praying about, only God knows.”

Amongst persons vying for the presidential candidate slot of the NPP are; Dr. Bawumia, the Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen, the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, and the former Minister of Energy, Boakye Agyarko.
However, the two leading candidates are Dr. Bawumia and Mr. Alan Kyerematen.
It is, however, unclear if the prayers from the Minister include this ambition of Dr. Bawumia.
Meanwhile, one of the leading members of the party has asked the Vice President, not to contest the party’s upcoming presidential race.
Dr. Richard Amoako-Baah insisted that Dr. Bawumia is not a true member of the party.
“Bawumia is younger than the rest, truthfully, he is not a true blood NPP member. He is an outsider. Fine, he has done well, he has gone three times with Nana. Initially, people will push him to go.”
“He was with Nana one, two, and the third time they won. Now he wants another four years, that’s 16-years and after that, I am sure he will run again. Is he the only person in the party? That’s the question.”
