The Eggstra- O campaign today premiered an educational movie titled ‘The Eggciting Festival’ as part of its efforts to educate the Ghanaian public about the nutritional and health benefits of eggs.
Set in a suburban community, the movie shows two families battle it out at their annual cooking competition. The fight for who will be the ‘Eggciting Chef of the Year’ that year took a different twist as only men this time are allowed to participate. The competition is in two stages; a quiz and a cooking competition. Humor is used to educate viewers on the health benefits of eggs and also the different ways eggs can be cooked.
The Eggstra-O campaign is an initiative of World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) together with the Ghana National Egg Campaign (GNECS). ASA/WISHH used US Department of Agriculture funding to support The Little Cow Consulting Limited (TLC)- implementing agency- for this production.
The movie was produced by Liezer-Legacy Productions for TLC and stars Victoria Naa Dede Teye and Rebecca Swace Amour who play best friends turned temporary rivals with their husbands Kwadwo Boakye Boadu and Agyare Kwabena Michael. Also featured in this movie are popular tv stars NGO as the Quiz master and Ato Dadzie as the MC for the competition.

‘The Eggciting Festival’ movie is available to the general public from 1pm, Monday 20th June 2022 on the YouTube channel of The Little Cow. The Eggciting Festival will play an integral part of the Eggnite roadshow which will visit ten select districts from the Greater Accra, Central, Eastern, Volta, Western, Upper East and Upper West regions. Schools, institutions and religious bodies will also not be left out.
