Young entrepreneurs have been entreated to build resilience in their business to effectively manage change and find solutions to new challenges presented by the changing world.
According to Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CEQA Foods and Beverages Ltd, Christian Boakye Yiadom, young entrepreneurs need to take advantage of networking to grow their businesses.
Sharing his experience on Masterclass with host Yaw Banafo, he argued that, resilience is needed in businesses to recover critical functionality, and thrive in altered circumstances.
He maintained that business resilience is the ability to recover from and adapt to potentially damaging incidents.
His decision with colleagues to relocate to Accra from Kumasi was the beginning of their success story.
He explained that an advertisement on radio was the turning point for the company “Pizzaman and Chickenman”.
“I was resilient enough to make changes in 2019. We struggled as a company, but we were not ready to give up, we kept pushing. We decided to move to Accra then we met our investors who supported us”, he said
The young entrepreneur abandoned an opportunity to further his education abroad to sell pizza, after attaining first class in Actuarial Science at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
He also advised young entrepreneurs to be determined toward their goals.
“I was seen as a stubborn boy at home because I was supposed to further my education outside Ghana, but I kept pushing the Pizza business”, he added.
