The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) will soon come up with interventions to promote locally produced goods to boost the country’s balance of payment.
According to its Chief Executive, Dr. Afua Asabea Asare, indigenous businesses should position their brands to attract investors and consequently increase income.
Speaking at the 2022 Ghana International Products Awards, she reaffirmed government’s commitment to improving the manufacturing industry in Ghana.
She stated that the public and private sectors of the economy must work together for the manufacturing sector to succeed.
“Government is committed to expand the manufacturing sector of the economy. For us at GEPA we will continue to encourage interventions meant to promote local goods, “she maintained.
On his part, the Head of Sales and Marketing at BlowChem Industries Limited, Raj Mirpuri, encouraged the government to improve Ghana's tax system after receiving an award in the exceptional marketing leadership category (consumer products).
