Engage Now Africa (ENA), an international non-governmental organization with the vision to heal, rescue and lift people in Africa has educated the people of Mafi-Dugame on child trafficking and its effect.
Youth, school children, traditional and Christian leaders were informed on ways they can easily identify modern day child trafficking, its effects and how to avoid them.
Mr. Afasi Komla ,the director in charge of End Modern Day Slavery at ENA said the abuse occurs in many cunning ways with the popular ones being tagged as 'work opportunities' both in Ghana and abroad.

He urged children to make good use of the internet since there is a lot of good and bad information there.
Mr. Daniel Opoku Boateng, who works with the Social Welfare Department in the Central Tongu District, said child trafficking has been a phenomenon in the area.

"We even have the elites engaging in child trafficking, just last year we rescued four children", he said.
Torgbui Dordoe IV, Chief of Mafi Zortikpo lauded "Enagage Now Africa for bringing enlightenment to his people."

He asked parents to make it their utmost responsibility to be concerned about their children.
The parents were also happy that the NGO would partner the social welfare department to protect, monitor and serve as an advisory board on welfare related issues.
Meanwhile, 30th of July has been set aside by the United Nations to always find means to educate the world on modern day child trafficking methods.
