Mining firm, Adamus Resources Limited has dismissed publications that it is the cause of the unfortunate incident that occurred at the premises of the magistrate court in Nkroful in the Western region on April 1, 2022, leading to the demise of Andrew Donkor.
In a statement, it said no officer, assign or privy of Adamus Resources Limited was involved in the incident.
“We state without equivocation that, no officer, assign or privy of Adamus Resources Limited was involved in the incident. For the avoidance of doubt, none of our staff or agents were even present at the premises of the court when the occurrence happened”.
“As clarified in our earlier statement, the incident happened when some illegal miners who had been arrested on our concession were appearing in court for the first time”, it explained.
“We therefore reject as complete falsehood the attempt to link our company to the death of Mr. Donkor and we look forward to clearing our good name in Court”.
The statement concluded that Adamus Resources Limited shall continue to be a law abiding institution dedicated to sustainable mining for sustainable development which strives to live in peace and harmony with all and sundry.
