Ghana’s Black Galaxies have arrived in Austria for a 4-nation tournament that also includes 2022 World Cup host Qatar, Jamaica and Morocco.
Annor Walker’s team arrived in the European country on Saturday and will play their first game against Qatar on Tuesday 23rd August, 2022 before squaring off against the Reggae Boys and the Atlas Lions later in the week.
The games serve as preparatory matches ahead of Ghana’s final CHAN 2023 qualifier against Nigeria next month.
Ghana secured qualification to the last round of qualifiers with a convincing 4-0 aggregate victory over Benin.
Having missed the previous three CHAN tournaments, the Black Galaxies are looking to make a return to the tournament for the first time since 2014, when they made the final of the competition in South Africa.
