Black Stars forward, Jordan Ayew, has admitted to enjoying the pressure he has to carry due to his surname.
The Crystal Palace star has been on the receiving end of much criticism from club and country due to the lack of goals in his game in recent times.
Jordan is the son of one of Africa's greatest talents, Abedi Ayew 'Pele' and the younger brother of current Black Stars captain Andre Ayew.
In an interview with SuperSport, the 30-year-old, despite admitting he attracts a lot of pressure enjoys it.
You have a lot of pressure in the country [Ghana] because the name Ayew is a big name and they have always seen very good Ayew players so there is always pressure to be on top,” he said.
“I was born in pressure and I’m still living in pressure so for me, it’s a daily thing. It’s part of life and I’m enjoying it and I’m so proud.”
Jordan has the most goals scored by a Ghanaian in the Premier League with 29 and has also netted 19 times for the Black Stars.
