The issue of 'galamsey' has resurfaced particularly due to the re-arrest of Aisha Huang for allegedly returning to illegal mining activities.
Many have raised doubts about the President's quest to fight 'galamsey' and have questioned the involvement of some political actors who obviously are undermining the fight against the canker because of their selfish interests.
Ranking Member on Defence and Interior Committee in Parliament, James Agalga on Monday charged the President to get rid of some internal characters deeply involved in 'galamsey' activities or else the fight against the menace will continue to be delusional.
Tune in to PM Express tonight on the JoyNews channel for the conversation on how political actors are influencing 'galamsey' activities.
