Black Stars winger, Osman Bukari scored a late consolation goal in Ghana’s 2-3 loss to Portugal in their opener in the ongoing 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The winger after netting the goal post celebrated in style with the popular goal celebration ‘Siuuu’, inspired by Portuguese football icon, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Portugal striker, Cristiano Ronaldo usually celebrates his goals by jumping, rotating mid-air and lands shouting "siuuu".
Ronaldo in their group stage match against the Black Stars on Thursday displayed his 'Siuuu' celebration after scoring a controversial penalty to give the Portuguese side a 1-0 lead.
However, Bukari's goal celebration was greeted with mixed reactions on social media with concerns that the celebration was disrespectful toward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Some comments flooded on Twitter said the Black Stars winger disrespected Ghanaians by displaying that celebration when he knew the team was down to a 2-3 loss.
Others have also debunked the claim that the celebration was a disrespect to the Portugal striker. They have, since, commended him for scoring the late goal for the Black Stars.

However, the Black Stars winger has defended his imitation of the Portuguese forward 'Siuuu' celebration.
In his post on Twitter, Bukari dismissed the concerns as "incorrect".
He said he "was overcome by the emotion of the moment of scoring for my country on my World Cup debut".
"My upbringing doesn’t permit me to be disrespectful to elders let alone one of my idols," he added.
I have noticed my celebration today has generated comments claiming I was disrespectful towards Ronaldo

This is incorrect. I was overcome by the emotion of the moment of scoring for my country on my World Cup debut leading to my celebration.
My upbringing doesn’t permit me
