The Finance and Administration Director (FAD) of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Lawrence Otu Nyarko is calling on managers of Ghana's finances to seek the face of God in solving the current economic crisis.
He explains that the country's economic challenges may be beyond experts and may not solely be resolved by the implementing financial principles.
Apostle Lawrence Nyarko who was speaking at the Greater Works Conference ‘22 by the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Bompata, said God can communicate with leaders to turn economic conditions around for the better.
The 30-day programme of Prayer and Fasting was held under the theme; “ACCEPTABLE SACRIFICE."
“We know that times are challenging. But this is not the only time that has been challenging in Ghana. In 1983 there was a drought in Ghana, we prayed and the Lord brought down the rain. At times the economic planners and principles do not work in certain situations, but when the grace of God comes, he brings ideas which are workable in unique situations.
“So we are praying and trusting God, that he will communicate through the leadership of this nation so that they will have a clue to assist,” he said.
The conference is a build-up to the church's 10th anniversary in July/August next year and seeks to implore members to renew their commitment to God by living as instruments of societal transformation.
The conference sought to entreat members to acknowledge the importance of sacrifice and giving.
Apostle Nyarko indicated that sacrifices and the act of giving are strong pillars for the development of every church.
“It is through sacrifices that we build the church of God. And it contributes to the development of the church. There are three pillars of the church — the preaching pillar, the praying and paying. God partners with us [Christians] to have his will fulfilled. He partners with us to finance the church. All the pillars are important. The absence of one will shake the church,” he said.
