Musician and draftsman, George Kwabena Adu, also known as Kwabena Kwabena, has called on the players in the entertainment industry to build relationships with music veterans like Agya Koo Nimo.
This, according to him, will help them gain more knowledge about past events in the industry, allowing them to lay a solid foundation for future generations.
Speaking on Prime Morning on Tuesday, the musician stated that Agya Koo Nimo is one of the most experienced people in the industry and has documented the rudiments of high life music.
This is the reason he, Kwabena Kwabena, has always loved getting close to the veteran to help him improve on his career.
"We’re blessed to have him still alive at 92, so I implore all entertainment portals to get closer to him. He’s built a wonderful library, which actually gives you the history of High Life music right from generation one. Now we’re in generation seven. There are a few of them from the first generation still alive. The industry should get near them and we can get something very concrete for the next generation," he explained to Asieduwaa Akumia.
As a High Life musician, he is looking forward to learning from and emulating the legendary Agya Koo Nimo’s steps, or doing better.
He has urged all musicians to treasure High Life music because it will always be a part of Ghanaians' lives.
The musician further admonished people to first love themselves before others, admitting that it places value on them. This, he said, will help with self-sufficiency.
For this reason, the "Kwadede" hitmaker is enthused and ready to unleash sterling performances at the 5th edition of the "Vita Milk Love Night" concert slated for Saturday, February 11, 2023.
The purpose of the event is to help promote healthy and sound relationships. It features musicians like Efya, Adina, and Samini, among others.
