Following a very sudden change in the Minority Caucus’ leadership in Parliament, the newly appointed Minority Leader says he has since eased into his new role without a problem.
Dr Cassiel Ato Forson who was previously the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Finance Committee said the ease with which he assumed his new position is a testament to his adaptability skills.
Speaking in his first interview on Joy News' PM Express on Wednesday since assuming the position, he said he has conscientious for whatever situation he may find himself in his political journey.
The MP said he makes the most out of every opportunity.
“One of my strongest points as a person is how quickly I adapt to situations. When we lost office in 2016, I went to work on January 6, to hand over.
"Then on January 7, I was made the Ranking Member of the Finance Committee and my first press conference was the next day on January 8, so I was ready from day one,” he said.
The Ajumako-Enyam-Essiam MP added that “positions are not possessions” thus while he does not feel entitled to any position, he makes it a point to deliver his best results wherever he is placed.
“And I have conscientised myself that positions are not possessions, you walk in it, anytime you can change it and move on.
"And so I’m ready anytime to adapt at any point in time and my political future is in the hands of God, where God directs me is where I’ll go, and I’ll just make sure that wherever I find myself I do just that and I leave it to what the next opportunity,” he said.
