The balance between taking care of the home and still maintaining efficiency at work can be very difficult, especially when there are kids involved.
When the former is overly compromised, it creates less contact between parents and children which has great negative impacts.
On Joy FM’s Super Morning Show today, parents shared their personal experiences and ways that help to create this smooth balance.
One woman who called in on the show mentioned that certain sacrifices must be made by parents to effectively cater to their kids.
According to her, both parents cannot juggle full-time work and still expect to have time to properly take care of the children.
“If we want the peace of mind to take care of our kids, both parents cannot be in full-time work, I think one parent should be able to take a less demanding job to be able to take care of the kids otherwise we are only complaining and doing nothing about it,” she advised.

Another parent also disclosed that she had to resign from her official job just to stay back and care for her kids.
She subsequently started a small business on her own which equally fetches her good money while creating time for the children.
"My husband and I had to take the decision of me quitting job just to take care of the kids because the school bus wasn’t helping and the nannies that came in weren’t helping, it’s not easy at all dealing with kids and work at the same time," she said.
This decision may seem smooth but the fact still remains that creating a perfect balance between job and family can be very hectic but with the necessary measures and understanding by both parents, it can be achieved.
Below are some perspectives shared on social media regarding the subject.
