Asante Kotoko head coach, Abdulai Gazale, says there is still a chance the Porcupine Warriors could end up as champions of the betPawa Ghana Premier following their win over Kotoku Royals.
The defending champions secured a 3-1 win over the relegated side in Dawu on match day 31 of the Premier League with Georges Mfegue scoring a first half brace while Rocky Dwamena was also on target.
The win takes Kotoko to fourth on the league table, six points behind league leaders Medeama who are on 53 points.
With three games to go, Gazale believes Kotoko still have a chance of ending the season as champions.
"For sure [we are in contention for the title]. When you look at the table now we are in the fourth place," he told StarTimes.
"If we are able to pick up nine points from the last three games, hoping that any of teams at the top will drop points, we can still make it up."
Kotoko will play Karela United, Accra Lions and Dreams FC in their final games of the season.
