The government of Ghana has extended its “heartfelt congratulations” to the Multimedia Group for chalking yet another success in the media industry.
Multimedia Group, indigenous Ghanaian company, operators of sensational media brands like JOY FM, Adom FM, Myjoyonline.com, Luv FM, Asempa FM and other great products, Monday introduced its new kid, Multi TV on the television sector.
“Let me congratulate you on Multi TV, that certainly is a remarkable feat and government would like to congratulate the Multimedia Group for chalking yet another success,” Deputy Information Minister Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa observed.
He acknowledged Multimedia’s prowess to contribute its quota to the development of the nation as the media is concerned.
“Certainly you have become a magnet; in radio, now television, the internet you are there, next may be a magazine or a newspaper; so receive our very heartfelt congratulations.”
From a humble beginning of 20 TV and radio channels covering the whole nation, management hoped to add about 200 channels to the bouquet soon.
Interestingly, all the channels are free to viewers without any monthly subscription after purchasing the full pack.
“We believe that quality digital TV should be accessible to everybody; not just reserved for the privileged few. Multi TV brings world class entertainment from across the world into every home,” the management of the TV noted on its factsheet.
While Multi TV promises to feature the best of international content, it would actively promote and support local content production and broadcast. Multi TV has the capacity to deliver HD (high definition) transmission in the future; that means its customers will get up to 5 times more picture detail than standard TV.
“With this, you will get deeper, richer, more lifelike pictures plus awesome surround sound that puts you at the centre of the action.”
