Cameroon’s Andre Onana was omitted as UEFA announced its 2022/23 Champions League Team of the Season.
A Manchester City dominated eleven had Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois in goal ahead of Onana, who kept the most clean sheets (8) and was crucial in Inter Milan’s run to the final.
The best eleven selected by UEFA’s Technical Observer panel had seven players from Pep Guardiola’s history making group.
Losing finalists Inter Milan defenders, Alessandro Bastoni and Federico Dimarco, completed a back four that also has Rúben Dias and Kyle Walker from City.
The trio of John Stones, Kevin De Bruyne, and Rodri were chosen to control the midfield.
Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward, Vinícius Júnior, completes an attacking trio with Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland.

The Cityzens beat the Nerazzurris 1-0 at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium on Saturday night courtesy of fabulous Rodri strike after the hour mark to claim a first title.
