One person has been reported dead after an accident at Wassa Akropong.
The incident, which occurred at about 5 pm, on Thursday, was a result of a head-on collision between a Toyota Corolla and a heavy-duty truck along the Wassa-Asikuma-Akropong highway.
A report by Graphic Online indicates that the Toyota Corolla with registration number WT 616-21 had attempted to overtake a vehicle in front of it.
However, when overtaking, it colluded with the haulage truck with registration number GN 4940-22 which was on the opposite side of the road.
Meanwhile, two other persons were reportedly injured and in critical condition after the accident.
Personnel from the police Motor Traffic Department have cleared the road easing up traffic caused by the accident.
