The Ashanti Regional Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hajia Zeinab Sallow who filed nomination to fight the Asawase Constituency parliamentary primaries, expressed confidence in winning the race.
"I'm winning for sure by his grace, it's not my power, I don't normally put things on my own, God is the one who crowns anybody and gives any position," Hajia Sallow explained.
"I'm a woman," she added. I've been praying, telling God that this is what I desire, and I know that Insha Allah, he will crown me."
Hajia Sallow has always stated to delegates that her objective is to win the seat for the NPP for the first time rather than simply contesting as a parliamentary aspirant.
In an interview with JoyNews, Hajia Sallow emphasized that the presence of multiple factions within the Constituency with which the other aspirants are affiliated could potentially stymie their results.

According to her, she is the ideal candidate to lead the party and bring about effective unity ahead of the 2024 elections.
She stated that factions have harmed the party's image throughout the years, necessitating the selection of a neutral person capable of relating to all groups in order to forcefully strengthen the party toward breaking the 8.
"People know me very well. Clearly, I am a unifier. I want to come and unify all the factions. I don't belong to any camp, that's the most important thing and this is what Asawase needs.
She further stated that "Asawase doesn't need factions, it is possible that we can win the seat but factions might affect our chances," she indicated.
According to her, she has contributed her quota to the expansion of the party in the constituency and the region as a whole, thus the claims that she did nothing for the party are false.
As the regional boss for MASLOC, She emphasized MASLOC's considerable influence in providing loan access for numerous consumers throughout ten marketplaces in the Asawase Constituency, as well as adjacent areas.
Aside from that, she stated that she has been conducting breast cancer screenings for constituents every year, as well as assisting widows and awarding scholarships to persons in the Constituency.
"In terms of personal issues, I've done a lot. Every year, I organize breast cancer screening. Every year, I organize widows and support them. Scholarships that I have, I give them to Asawase. You know as a regional executive we've been given slots 2 or 1, anytime I get my slot, I give it to Asawase," she said.
Hajia Sallow urged her supporters to be calm, pray, and support her to win the primary without causing discord.
