A youth group in the Volta Region, calling itself the Bawumia Fan Club, has urged delegates in the region to vote for the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, to lead the party in the upcoming 2024 general election.
According to them, Dr Bawumia remains the best choice for the NPP, and that a vote for him will not be a waste.
Leader of the group, Rashid Raji, a staunch member of the NPP, said it is important for the delegates to make the right choice by giving Dr Mahamudu Bawumia a resounding victory in the primary.
Rashid, who was speaking to a group of delegates from across the region at Dzodze in the Ketu North Constituency, said the Bawumia Fan Club has since 2012 held countless door-to-door campaigns for the party.
He said Dr Bawumia has proven beyond doubt to be the best candidate among the lot, and the only person they believe can deliver a better Ghana.
He said the Bawumia Fan Club has also started campaigning in all polling stations to secure massive votes for Dr Bawumia.
He urged all delegates in the Volta Region and beyond to give Dr Bawumia a resounding victory to lead the party to another victory in 2024.
Some delegates who spoke to the media also stated that Dr Bawumia is the ideal choice for the party.
They also appealed to the Vice President to help them meet some of their needs especially those of them who are farmers.
