Ghana’s all-time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan, believes Mohammed Kudus is the star man for the Black Stars at the moment.
This was after the West Ham United attacking midfielder delivered a starring performance as Ghana came from a goal down to beat the Central African Republic. The win sealed Ghana’s qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Reacting to the role Mohammed Kudus played in the game, Gyan commended the 23-year-old for releasing the ball at the right times. Ball hogging is something Kudus has been accused of recently.
“I loved how Kudus played,” Asamoah Gyan wrote on Twitter/X, before adding, “He was more composed and released the balls at the right time.
“For me, he is the Star man in this Black Stars team at the moment. More room for improvement.”
Booking a spot at the 2023 AFCON means the Black Stars have now secured qualification to the last ten tournaments in a row.
