The Chief Executive Officer of Vanguard Assurance Limited, Frederick Adotey Saka, has been crowned the 2023 Best CEO of the Year in General Insurance at the just-ended Ghana CEO Awards held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.
The honour is in recognition of his dedication and creativity in building Ghana’s insurance sector, and for being a highly respected personality advocating for best business practices.
The 2nd edition of the Ghana CEO Awards was on the theme; "The Role of Business Leadership Towards Achieving the SDGS in Ghana.”
The platform seeks to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished CEOs who are making a significant impact towards achieving the SDGS in Ghana.
The award is a significant accolade that celebrates exceptional achievements in business, leadership, innovation, and economic contributions. This distinction is granted to individuals and organizations that exemplify outstanding practices, visionary leadership, and a resolute commitment to nurturing economic growth and business development.
The event was attended by dignitaries including the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Harriet Thompson, the British High Commissioner to Ghana, H.R.M King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the King of the Ga state, Mark Okraku-Mantey, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, H. E Charles Abani, United Nations Resident Coordinator, Ghana, H. E Javier Guitierrez Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, and several other dignitaries.
Speaking to the media after receiving the all-important, the CEO of Vanguard Assurance Limited, Frederick Adotey Saka was extremely grateful for this achievement.
He said the award is a reflection of his commitment to delivering the highest standards of quality customer satisfaction.
He dedicated the award to his staff and customers for their unflinching support over the years.
"I am extremely excited for such a wonderful milestone. This demonstrates our unwavering focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations while adhering to sustainability and corporate governance standards", he said.
Frederick Adotey Saka added that, the company has not stopped evolving in order to remain relevant.
About Frederick Adotey Saka
Frederick has over 18 years of industry experience spanning technical operations, marketing and strategy.
He joined Vanguard Assurance in 2018 as the Chief Operations officer and was appointed Chief Executive Officer a year later.
Prior to joining Vanguard Assurance, he worked with Saham Insurance Ghana Limited.
He is a chartered Insurer and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute-UK, and a fellow of the Chartered Insurers Institute-Ghana.
He also holds an MBA and BA in Exonomics and Law, both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
In addition, He holds a Group Diploma in Marketing awarded by the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
