A fire outbreak razed down three-storey buildings at Anloga market in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region on Friday, October 27.
Some residents, who lived in those buildings, have been displaced with many losing properties worth thousands of cedis.
Fortunately, no death was recorded, however, the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
According to an eyewitness, the fire started around 8:30 a.m. He told JoyNews that some residents saw the smoke coming from the buildings and rushed to help contain the fire.
He noted that with the magnitude of the fire, the Fire Service were called however they did not get to the accident scene early.
The eyewitness stated that by the time the fire service arrived with their tenders, the buildings were badly damaged and homes were already lost.
The Manhyia Fire Station says it has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
