Bank of Africa Ghana, organised a golf tournament at the Bok Nam Kim Golf Course on Saturday, October 13, as a way of celebrating the arrival of the new Managing Director, Abderrahmane Belbachir.
The tournament which took place on Saturday saw hundreds of participants at the Bok Nam Kim Golf Course in Burma Camp to partake in the tournament.
Speaking to JoySports, Outgoing Managing Director of Bank of Africa, Kobby Andah, spoke on the motive behind the tournament.
"The purpose of this championship is for me to introduce the new incoming MD of Bank of Africa and he's a golfer himself so we thought it was a good opportunity for him to meet the Ghanaian community.
"He was the MD in Rwanda so this is his first time being in Ghana so we thought it was a good opportunity to have a competition. As you know, golf brings people of all classifications together so it was a good opportunity for him to meet the Ghanaian community."

Incoming Managing Director, Abderrahmane Belbachir thanked Andah for a good job done.
"I'm very proud and honoured to be in Ghana to take over Bank of Africa after Kobby Andah who did a tremendous job for this bank. I hope that I'll continue in this direction and help this bank grow more and to support the economy of Ghana"
He also added that, in his tenure, the Bank of Africa will invest in golf to help make it a better sport in the country.
"I hope that I'll continue to come and play golf with my customers and colleagues. The game of golf is interesting because it's an opportunity to meet many people to understand them and socialise with them. Investing in golf and sponsoring golf is a part of our marketing activities so that the bank be well known in the Ghanaian market," he concluded.
Abderrahmane’s professional journey began at WAFA Bank in Morocco, where he swiftly moved up the ranks from a Branch Manager to a Regional Manager. He later served as the Network Director for Attijariwafa Bank, overseeing operations in both Casablanca and France.
