Assembly members and other prominent residents of the Asante Akyem North constituency have picked parliamentary nomination forms for the incumbent MP, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang.
Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Digital Center Limited, is seeking re-election as the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate after leaving parliament in 2016.
Speaking to the press after picking the forms at the NPP headquarters in the Ashanti Region, former Assembly Member, Kwabena Osei, stated that their action was based on their conviction that Mr Baah Agyemang is the best man for the job.
"We are here in our numbers to pick the NPP nomination forms for a man who we can perfectly describe as a complete human being whose efforts have been to make our lives and that of our family members beautiful by offering us job opportunities and employment.

“I’m not here alone, I represent a number of people who in diverse ways have benefited from KBA, some are in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Japan. Others are in the security services and all forms of employment opportunities,” he stated.
The nomination forms were subsequently presented to Kwadwo Baah Agyemang at Afrisie where he was commissioning a community center he funded and built for the community.
Receiving the nomination forms from the team, Mr Baah Agyemang thanked them for the confidence they had reposed in him.

He noted that the singular act of purchasing the forms alone and ensuring that they submit the same to him showed that he could count on their support.
He urged delegates in Asante Akyem North to vote massively for him so that he could use his influences to lobby for more projects into the constituency.
"I am humbled by your recollection of history of my generous acts, but I do them because people must be happy since that's the only thing that gladdens my heart. And I promise to work hard and win this parliamentary elections with the help of God and make Asante Akyem North great again," Mr Baah Agyemang stated.
