Newage Agric Solutions Limited has presented bags of its flagship Evivi long grain rice to Chef Abdul-Razak Failatu in support of her quest to break the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest hours of cooking.
The company says it believes what Chef Failatu is trying to do is to exhibit the resilience of Ghanaians in achieving their objectives, and as a Ghanaian rice-producing company, it was a good opportunity to help showcase to the world how commitment to a cause can result in a lot being done through collaborations.
They presented 25 bags of evivi rice to be used for cooking, and have also given several bags to people who have thronged the premises to witness Failatu’s attempt to break the GWR.
“Giveaways have been going on from Day 4 with many supporters taking home bags of rice and other goodies from Evivi Rice, Brands Activation Manager of Newage Agric Solutions Ltd, Perez Perry Adunyame said.
He explained that the decision by NewAge to jump on the Failatu Cook-a-thon was to tell the whole world about the potential of locally produced food products.
“When we heard Failatu was also attempting to break the record for the longest cooking marathon, we saw it as a great opportunity to also showcase the potential of locally produced foods, to the world. We reached out to Faila's team and pledged our support in diverse ways to make this attempt a successful one for all of Ghana,” he explained.
The Newage team have spent several days at the Cook-a-thon helping in creating an environment conducive enough to give Chef Failatu all the energy and support she needs to break the Guinness World Record for the longest hours of cooking.
