The Ghana Qualifying Rounds of the Jessup 2024 Competition is scheduled to commence from February 12-16 at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
The Jessup Ghana Competition is the biggest moot court competition for law students in Ghana, providing them the opportunity to showcase their advocacy and critical thinking skills and enhance their knowledge in international law.
Law faculties from the following institutions University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Mountcrest University College, Kings University College, Central University College, University of Professional Studies Accra, University of Cape Coast, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Wisconsin International University College, and Ghana School of Law are diligently preparing to vie for the prestigious title of National Champions in this moot competition.

The Philip C. Jessup Moot Competition stands as the world's preeminent Moot Court Competition, drawing participation from about 700 teams representing approximately 100 nations annually.
Regarded as the "World Cup of International Law," it is also the world's oldest Moot Court Competition exclusively dedicated to International Law.
This competition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice. Ghana made its debut participation in the Jessup Competition in 1977.
The 2024 Jessup case concerns traitors and crooks. Participating institutions will argue on issues relating to the right to political expression, statelessness, the right to a nationality and the scope of the United Nations Security Council’s authority in the pacific settlement of disputes.

Winners of the Ghana National Rounds will represent Ghana at the 2024 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington DC.

The 2024 Jessup qualifying rounds is proudly sponsored by Reindorf Chambers, B&P Associates, ENS Africa, Africa Global Logistics Ghana, EsqAi and Thelawplatform.
