The University of Ghana Stadium is one of the major venues that will be used during the 13th edition of the African Games.
The facility was officially commissioned by Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia in time ahead of the start of the Games to be staged in Ghana this month.
Handed to Consar Limited, the University of Ghana Stadium has a standard football pitch, an 8-lane running track, an 8-lane, warm-up track, an athletic oval, a media centre, a VVIP Lounge, offices and an upgraded rugby pitch.
The venue will host competitions such as athletics, football games and rugby.
