After securing qualification to the second round of the men's beach volleyball competition, Ghana's coach Chapnuor Eden has tasked the team to win the gold medal.
Ghana progressed from the Men's Pool F after Tuesday's 2-0 win over Benin in the men's Pool F.
On Monday, Ghana secured a 2-1 win over Togo and a more straightforward 2-0 win over Senegal.
Speaking to JoySports, Chapnuor Eden said he had high hopes of Ghana's team.
"We couldn't win gold at the last tournament we hosted here; the Commonwealth Qualifiers.
For the men's side we couldn't but I'm confident we can get a gold medal in this African Games."
The women's team has also progressed from the Women's Pool Aafter successive wins over The Gambia (2-1) and Burkina Faso (2-0).
"We have an experienced team that keeps improving.
We conquered the whole of Africa here for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in the women's category,"
"I know we can get a silver medal and that's what we're working towards." he told JoySports.
Ghana has won its first two matches without number one ranked player, Rashaka Katadat.
Katadat's partner at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Corporal Juliana Otcherewaa Aryee has been teamed up with Lance Corporal Charity Torku.
Expectations are high after a number impressive performances at major tournaments.
At the West Africa Zone II Olympic Qualifier, the men's team won gold while the ladies took silver.
