As part of the celebration of the 2024 World Oral Health Day, the PraiseAid Foundation took a significant step towards improving dental hygiene for children in the deprived community of Ashanti Kpoeta in the Volta Region.
Amidst the challenges faced by pupils at the Luvudu E.P Basic School, where most children share the same toothbrush, the foundation's donation drive brought smiles and better oral care prospects for these youngsters.
Nestled in the heart of Ashanti Kpoeta, a community where necessities often remain out of reach for many families, the Luvudu E.P Basic School welcomed the Praise Aid Foundation with open arms.

The foundation, dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities through various initiatives, focused its efforts this World Oral Health Day on addressing the critical need for dental hygiene supplies.
The Founder and Director of PraiseAid Foundation, Praise Anani stressed the importance of oral health in the overall well-being of children. "We believe that every child deserves access to basic dental care essentials. It's alarming to learn that many of the children here share a single toothbrush amongst themselves. We aim to change this reality," he stated passionately.

Upon arriving at the school, volunteers from PraiseAid were greeted by eager faces, the children's excitement palpable in the air. The foundation distributed hundreds of toothbrushes and tubes of toothpaste, each carefully selected to meet the needs of the young recipients.
For 9-year-old Adzo, the donation was a gift beyond measure. "I used to share a toothbrush with my brother, but now I have my own! I will brush my teeth every day," she exclaimed, her eyes shining with joy.

The teachers at Luvudu E.P Basic School also emphasized the transformative impact of the foundation's gesture. "We are incredibly grateful to Praise Aid for their generosity. This donation will go a long way in instilling good oral hygiene habits among our students," said Mrs Yaa Asantewaa, a teacher at the school.
In addition to the toothbrushes and toothpaste, the PraiseAid Foundation organized interactive sessions on proper brushing techniques and the importance of dental health. The children enthusiastically participated, eager to learn and adopt healthier habits.

As the day concluded, the playground echoed with laughter and the sound of brushing teeth—a heartening scene for the community of Ashanti Kpoeta. PraiseAid Foundation's commitment to making a difference in the lives of these children serves as a beacon of hope, showing that even small gestures can bring about significant change.

As this year’s World Oral Health Day ends, the impact of PraiseAid Foundation's donation drive lingers, promising brighter smiles and healthier future for the children of Luvudu E.P Basic School.
