The Head of Public Events and Communications at Charterhouse, Robert Klah, has shared details on why Amaarae pulled out from her performance at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
A few hours before her performance, the American-based musician took to her X account to lament what she deems, an “incredible disrespect” from the TGMA production team.
Consequently, Robert Klah clarified that Amaarae’s withdrawal from the performance was a result of some unaligned expectations.
“I would summarise it as unaligned expectations. Indeed, there was a request that was not met initially, but eventually, it was met.
“But then again, beyond that, other things came up, and while working on it, the artiste decided to pull out", he told Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz.
He also stated all issues with the female musician were settled before the scheduled date for the awards night.
“That was at the beginning but the before the day, before the final day itself, or before the main event, those things were sorted out,” he said on Hitz FM.
He also stated he wouldn't want to delve into the specifics between the artists and the organizers but rather assured netizens of taking steps to ensure things as such are worked on.
